Games

We believe in making games we would want to play.

Pocket Moon Games was founded in, and remains based in, Ontario, Canada. We are a small team striving to stay true to the indie game spirit by creating games with personal and impactful stories. We value inclusivity, accessibility, artistry, and above all else, fun.

Meet the Team

Jeffrey Newton-Evans (he/him) is a visual artist with a background in film and music. He entered the indie gaming scene in 2018 with the co-creation of CloseCall Studios, and in 2019 launched the adventure game Zebra Dodge (iOS and Android). Currently he is responsible for animation, sound design and is acting director and creative co-director for Phantophone. He also makes a damn fine cup of coffee, usually for his partner Ren.

Ren “Batty” Burke (they/them) has a background in visual art and writing, and a lifelong passion for storytelling. In 2019 they acted as a creative consultant on the game Zebra Dodge, inspiring them to be involved in making a game from the ground up. Currently, they are the creative co-director for Phantophone, and largely work on character and object design, story direction, and dialogue. In their spare time, Ren can be found doodling critters, hoarding collectables, and drinking coffee with their partner, Jeff.

Than More (he/him) was a graphic designer until, in an attempt to retain his soul, moved on to his passion for game design and programming. During 2018-2020 he built NENA, his first game, as a gift and proposal to his now wife. Than was picked up by Pocket Moon shortly after to work as a game designer / programmer for Phantophone. When he’s not making games, he’s attempting to get good at them. Than is accompanied by his two lovely demon cats, and his wonderful aforementioned fiancé.

Tyler Bay
(he/him) spent the better part of his 20's as a paramedic, before he returned to school to follow his passion for technology and programming. As luck would have it, he has some nice friends who asked him to make a video game with them. Now, fulfilling the dream he's had since he was 12, Tyler pretends to know what he's doing when working as a game designer / programmer for Pocket Moon. When he's not programming, he can be found hanging out with his lovely partner Morgan and their #1 good boy Murray.
